PAW*11 - Horse Tail Messenger
PAW*11 - Horse Tail Messenger
My first-ever messenger bag. I've made several cross-body bags in the past, but never one with capacity for items like a laptop. I was initially inspired by the look of nautical roping and wanted to incorporate it as the centerpiece of this bag design. The result is strapping made out of 2 separate pieces of rope that are barred with piping and end frayed at the end. This decision to leave the roping frayed was inspired by things like graduation tassels, rug trimming, and accents of the piece in motion. Additionally, I liked the idea of having the tassels meticulously combed out, and slowly getting bunched and knotted over time. This bag is constructed out of a sturdy duck canvas outer with interfacing, and a cotton linen liner.
