PAW*15 - Petal Shorts

A pair of asymmetrical petal shorts. The primary design inspiration for this piece comes from the look and structure of various foliage. The contrasting vertical and diagonal lines of the fabric are reminiscent of the veins in the midrib of large palm leaves. The dual-layered ribbed hem was intended to represent the unfurling petals of a tulip. Additionally, with the button closure and silhouette, these shorts remind me of medieval armor in an odd way.
