PAW*26 - Fissure Sweatshirt

The Fissure Sweatshirt, which concludes the halfway point of the project and completes the Fissure set I started last week. Similarly to the sweatpants, this piece was initially inspired by the 'Fissure' Yugioh card but was designed and finished to evoke calmness and safety rather than a feeling of damnation as the card does. This was accomplished by adding Hong Kong seams, which resemble fissures but are intended to allow the garment to flow and feel less restricted with movement. This split seam design also allows for contrasts with layering, by revealing what is worn underneath. This piece was finished with a slouchy silhouette, accent ribbing on the neck, sleeves, and hem, and a front waist pocket.
