The Sloth Sweatshirt. It has been over 20 weeks since the last sweat set I made, and I would have liked to make another one sooner but I couldn't find the right French Terry material. every option was either too light or too expensive. Luckily on my previous trip to the fabric store I found this French Terry, which is exactly what I had in mind to bring my idea to life. The primary design inspiration for this piece came from a desire to make a sweatshirt that was as wide and cropped as possible, while still retaining an air of definition. Oddly enough as I was designing this piece I saw this similar R13 crewneck on my friend Mimi’s page and was immediately intrigued. After receiving flat lay pictures I knew exactly how I wanted to execute my piece. I kept the general form similar with significant sleeve width and a cropped elastic hem, but added a drop shoulder slash neck opening which I think compliments the look and feel of this piece well. This sweatshirt is constructed out of sturdy neutral grey French Terry cotton and finished with serged and double-folded hems throughout.
